She started modeling in her teen ages and she got the chance to act in her first film when she was only 14 years old in the Kannada film Dhruva. After that, she had offers to act in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. She shot to fame with her debut Tamil film Thulluvadho Ilamai. She also acted in Juniors, a Telugu remake of Thulluvadho Ilamai, but the film failed. Later, in 2005, she acted in the film Danger directed by Krishna Vamsi; though the film received accolades, Sherin went unrecognized. Incidentally, in both the films she starred with Allari Naresh.
